Many people are surprised when they hear that I'm an international student. I've been a part of the St. Mark's community for eight years, so I've grown so closely knit with others, so close that many, as I mentioned, find it difficult to believe that I wasn't even born in the United States. As much as I've grown close to the community at my school, the transition from Korea to the United States was definitely not the smoothest of transitions. For the first few months, perhaps for my first year at my school, I had to force a change in my perspective. These photographs attempt to show my superficial persona that I put on in my early years at my school.
